Malahat Winter 2010 issue (#173) Launch and Tribute to P. K. Page

On Friday, January 28th we celebrated our Winter 2010 issue (#173) and paid tribute to P. K. Page following the anniversary of her death.
The evening began with the usual Planet Earth open mic; we heard poets such as our board members Garth Martens and Kyeren Regehr read their own work written in honour of P. K. After the break, Eve Joseph read from her Creative Non-Fiction Prize-winning piece, "Intimate Strangers" (published in the Winter 2010 issue). We then heard local writers read their favourite P. K. Page poems: Kate Braid, Barbara Colebrook Peace, Lorna Crozier, Sandra Djwa, Patrick Friesen, Patrick Lane, Linda Rogers, Jay Ruzesky, Patricia Young, and Terence Young.
